A B licence truck is a modern, comfortable way to transport your horse that makes everyday life easier. It comes with 3 or 5 seats and with different layouts in the horse area – breast bar, V-grille or stud layout. The payload depends on the model, and on whether you choose a short truck or a long one with extra storage.

For the highest possible payload, choose a 3-seater with a breast bar layout. It gives 1,000 kg of payload including driver and a full tank. If you need a larger truck, take a look at our C licence trucks.

STX

B licence truck from STX

STX is a European leader in B licence horse trucks and stands for design, comfort and quality. The trucks are built from aluminium sandwich panels with a solid front wall between the horse area and the cab, which makes them safe and durable.

The walls are insulated against both heat and cold, so your horse travels quietly and comfortably. Opening windows, a roof hatch and a fan controlled from the cab ensure good ventilation.

Two horse stalls, three seats and a B licence. Both are built on a Renault Master with the large 170 hp engine – incredibly strong with low diesel consumption.

B licence truck from AKX

AKX also comes from Belgian Stephex Group and is built the same way – from aluminium sandwich panels with a solid front wall, insulated walls and good ventilation through opening windows, a roof hatch and a fan.

AKX is a more simply equipped B licence truck at a really good price. It has 3 seats and a stud layout, so you can move easily between the tack room and the horse area. The tack room has space for a tack locker.

As one of few suppliers on the market, we deliver all our horse trucks with a CoC certificate. In it, the manufacturer documents a safe construction and correct data, and the entire build is crash tested.

Our B licence trucks are also weighed on arrival in Sweden, so you can be sure the payload is correct.

B licence truck FAQ

Which driving licence do I need?

It depends on the vehicle's gross weight. A Swedish category B licence covers vehicles with a gross weight of up to 3,500 kg. Up to 7,500 kg requires a C1 licence, and heavier vehicles a C licence.

Always check the rules that apply to you with the Swedish Transport Agency.

How much can I load in a B licence truck?

The payload depends on model and layout. An STX 3-seater with a breast bar layout gives up to 1,000 kg of payload including driver and a full tank. Our B licence trucks are weighed on arrival in Sweden, so you know the payload is correct.

Can I tow a trailer on a car licence?

With a category B licence you can tow a trailer of up to 750 kg gross weight, or a heavier trailer if the combined gross weight of car and trailer is no more than 3,500 kg. With extended B entitlement (code 96) the limit is 4,250 kg, and with a BE licence the trailer may weigh up to 3,500 kg.
