Buying a vehicle

Can I order a horse truck built to my own wishes?

Yes. New horse trucks from STX, AKX and Ketterer are equipped to your needs – from the number of horses and the horse area layout to the living area and options. Read more about how ordering works.

Can I trade in my current vehicle?

Yes. Tell us about your vehicle when you request a quote, ideally with its registration number, and we will get back to you with a proposal.

Do you sell used horse trucks?

Yes, we are one of Sweden's largest dealers in used horse transport. See all the used vehicles we have right now.

What is a CoC certificate?

CoC stands for Certificate of Conformity. In it, the manufacturer documents that the vehicle has a safe construction and correct data. All our horse trucks are delivered with a CoC certificate, and the entire build is crash tested.

How many horses can I transport?

The B licence trucks carry two horses. The larger C licence trucks from STX, AKX and Ketterer are available for anything from 2 to 10 horses, and trailers for up to 6 horses.

Can I get a pop-out and push-up?

Yes, the larger horse trucks offer a pop-out, a kitchen pop-out and a push-up as options for more living space. Which options fit depends on the model, so contact us and we will help you.

Licences and weights

Which driving licence do I need?

It depends on the vehicle's gross weight. A Swedish category B licence covers vehicles with a gross weight of up to 3,500 kg. Up to 7,500 kg requires a C1 licence, and heavier vehicles a C licence.

Always check the rules that apply to you with the Swedish Transport Agency.

Can I tow a trailer on a car licence?

With a category B licence you can tow a trailer of up to 750 kg gross weight, or a heavier trailer if the combined gross weight of car and trailer is no more than 3,500 kg. With extended B entitlement (code 96) the limit is 4,250 kg, and with a BE licence the trailer may weigh up to 3,500 kg.

How much can I load in a B licence truck?

The payload depends on model and layout. An STX 3-seater with a breast bar layout gives up to 1,000 kg of payload including driver and a full tank. Our B licence trucks are weighed on arrival in Sweden, so you know the payload is correct.
