How we handle your personal data

We care about your privacy. This policy applies when you visit kingsrod.se, contact us or send a quote request.

Data controller

Kingsröd AB, Fjärås Industriväg 2, SE-439 74 Fjärås, Sweden, is the data controller. Send any questions about how we handle your data to info@kingsrod.se.

What data we collect

We only collect the data you give us, for example:

name, email address and phone number
county and your requirements for the vehicle
registration number and photos if you want to trade in your vehicle
which vehicle and which page on the website the request concerns

Why we process the data

We use the data to answer your request, prepare a quote, value a trade-in and complete a purchase. The legal basis is that we take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or that we perform a contract with you. When you buy a vehicle, we keep the data required by Swedish accounting law.

How long we keep the data

We keep the data for as long as we need it to handle and follow up on your request, and then delete it. Accounting records are kept for seven years, as required by law.

Who receives the data

We never sell your data. We use suppliers who process data on our behalf: Formspree, which receives the forms and sends them to us by email, Vercel, which hosts the website, and Neon, which stores the website database within the EU. Some of these suppliers are based in the United States. When data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, this is done in accordance with the GDPR, for example using the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

The website does not use cookies for statistics or marketing. Our hosting provider briefly logs technical data such as IP addresses to keep the website secure and running.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected and to have your data erased. You can also ask us to restrict the processing, object to it and receive your data in a machine-readable format. Contact us at info@kingsrod.se.

If you believe we are processing your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
